The County Attorney’s Office seeks to protect and promote the safety of Thomas County.  The office partners with many organizations to help in this goal.  Jana’s Campaign is active in northwest Kansas and helps to educate and prevent gender and relationship violence before it begins.  Options is a 24-hour service that helps survivors of domestic violence secure housing, have an advocate at court, and any other need that arises from a domestic violence situation.

Additionally, the Thomas County Attorney’s Office partners with the Colby Public Schools After School program to provide a safe and educational environment for students after school.  This program helps with homework, teaches nutrition, and allows students to participate in activities that do not fit into the school day.

The Thomas County Attorney’s Office gives presentations to the community on various legal topics.  The schools of Thomas County have been assets when it comes to standing up to bullying and protecting the students.  If you know of an organization that could benefit from a partnership with the Thomas County Attorney’s Office, please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots.
